“How To Win Games/ Style of Play”
Playing the game the right way, with respect, effort and focus, is another key foundation of “how” to win. The Gamers program has 19 items related to playing the game the right way.
We call this the Gamers Style of Play.
Our fundamental belief is that Style of Play is MORE important than the outcome on the field. We would rather lose than abandon our Style of Play principles.
But, we also believe that if we teach our players to play the game the right way, the result over the long term will be winning a lot of baseball games. Sometimes not immediately, but definitely over the long term.
This is the foundation for winning the right way.
The Gamers Style of Play teachers players to:
– focus on fundamentals of the game
– focus on things they can control (inputs, not outcomes)
– respect the game
Winning is the by-product of playing the game the right way.
